| The Srishti Foundation |

The Srishti Foundation is a
charitable society dedicated to bringing about change through
community participation. It is registered with the Registrar
of Societies at the Registrar Office, Rangareddy District, AP
(Registration No:1808/2006). The foundation is registered under section 12A (a) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 by the Director of Income Tax (Exemptions), Hyderabad vide F.No. DIT(E)/Hyd/12A&80G/45(03)/06-07. The registration is granted with effect from October 20, 2006. The contributions/donations made to this foundation are eligible for deduction under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 vide proceedings of the Director of Income Tax (Exemptions), Hyderabad under Order F.No. DIT(E)/Hyd/80G/39/(09)/09-10 with effect from April 1, 2009 until March 31, 2012
The foundation has applied for the extension of this exemption which is under process. We are expecting the extension to be granted from 1st April 2009.

transformation of the society and the country through

Dr. Sudha
Iyer, President
Sudha returned to India
after spending 13 years in the US, getting two MS
degrees and a PhD from top univeristies there. She has
spent the last seven years in India working with
students to improve their skills and with Srishti to transform families in
Kakinada. She is the National Chair of Yi's (Young Indians, CII) Rural Initiatives this year. As National Chair of the Youth
Affairs committee, she rolled out a program called Yi
Bridge nationally. |
This
program, which works with students in schools and
colleges, has been very successful. She also serves as
the National Chair of e-Yi, the IT platform of Yi. Sudha
is a Fellow of the inaugural
class of the of the prestigious India Leadership Initiative
program of Aspen Institute, USA and Goldman Sachs. She is also a moderator for Aspen Institute, India |

Dr. Sreerama
Murthy, Secretary
Dr. Sreerama Murthy, who has
spent ten years in the US, has a PhD from Johns Hopkins
and has worked in Siemens Corporate research. He
returned to India to work in IBM's India Research Labs.
Later, as an entrepreneur, he cofounded companies to do
meaningful technology work in India.
He has
spent the last two years in rural India working with
people to understand how change can be effectively
created there. |
Sreeram is also passionate
about capacity-building and has set up a large computer training center in
Kakinada, AP. He brings keen acumen and organisational
capacity to the team. |

Mr. VSR Murthy, Joint
Secretary
A topper in both MCom and DIRPM
(Diploma in Industrial Relations and Personnel
Management), he is a recognised expert in land records
and settlements. A well-known and loved person in
Kakinada, he brings more than 25 years of experience in
different public and private organizations to the team.
His expertise in real estate and construction has helped
Srishti construct facilities efficiently. He specialises
in bringing together community resources and inspires
people to join the cause. His knowledge of the local
culture and community brings a lot of value to the
Foundation. | |
